Cuchillo Bar #3 - Cuchillo, NM

Investigation Summary
Date: 10/15/2009
Location: Cuchillo Bar, Cuchillo, NM
Time: 8pm
Weather: Warm and clear
Investigators: Steve Kompier, Andy Kompier, Kip Reid

Background
We returned to the Cuchillo Bar to continue our investigation in hopes of identifying who is haunting the bar. Since our last investigation established there is someone who refers to themselves as the "cowboy", this presented us with ideas on the line of questioning that we'd use during our EVP sessions.

Investigation
We used the infra-red light from one of our static night-vision cameras to illuminate the bar. This would allow for more ambient light so that the limited range of the miniDV's built in light sources could be expanded. We used handheld video cameras and place two digital recorders in the bar.

One was placed in the booth that we had used previous since this position captured many of our EVPs from our past investigations. Another was place directly on the bar. During our last investigation, we were able to record several of the EVPs on both recorders.

During the investigations, several cold spots were felt. This is a departure from previous investigations when no cold spots were felt. In addition, we witnessed more light anomalies..several of which were captured on video.

Captured EVPs

1. Do you know that you're dead?
There is an immediate answer of "Yes" and a knock which were slightly amplified for ease of hearing.

2. Do you want Andy to play with you?
This was asked after we placed a deck of cards on the bar.

3. Guttural sound
This sound was heard by myself and Andy

4. Two snaps heard by all

5. Knock that was heard

6. Andy asks.."Do you want me to get up out of your chair so that you can sit down?" The response was "umm..hmm" and was heard by me.

This was also captured on video. The knocking that's heard is a camera audio issue.

Investigation Conclusion
Having the opportunity to conduct a third investigation and capturing more and different EVPs, validates our initial findings of an intelligent haunting. We still need to establish the name of this cowboy. This is an ongoing investigation.
