We were asked to investigate a private residence in Tome, New Mexico. This home is made of adobe and the walls are about one foot thick. Age is unknown, but it is less than 30 years old. The clients state that they have only lived in the home for about 1 month. They report that every night at 10pm, the lights would dim in whichever room one of the clients was in. Not the whole house...just the one occupied room. Around 12 midnight when they go to bed, the hear the cabinet doors in the kitchen closing and something dragging across the floor.

 

Lights turning on and off. The clients have seen a dark figure that was only a torso. At 3:16am, their laptop started playing music even though it was turned off. On July 4th, they came home to find one burner of the stove turned on. They had not used the stove that day. They also hear the dining room chairs slide across the floor even though the chairs aren't moved and they are top of a rug.

 

We arrived at 9:45 in hopes of witnessing the lights dimming. During our tour of the location, I kept checking my watch to know when it was 10pm. The time came and went and we observed no lights dimming. In fact, during our time in the house..no lights dimmed at all. But it is to be noted that most of the time, all of the lights were off.

 

Andy claims to have seen something moving quickly from the dining room and into the hall. None of us saw this and there was nothing of this caught on video. It was a personal experience only. During an EVP session in the dining room...we did hear some popping sounds cming from the kitchen. These were captured on audio but are unexplained. No direct responses to any questioning were heard. Aside from Andy..no one experienced anything during the investigation.

 

Were were able to recorded a couple of Class A EVPs. The first and most interesting, was recorded in the kitchen during a time when Joe was alone in the kitchen. Everyone else, including the client who is also named Joe, where in the living room conducting an EVP session. The EVP is as follows:

 

"Hey Joe, why ain't you in here?"

 

The second EVP was recorded in the dining room while everyone one was in the living room conducting the same EVP session. I said, "Come on show yourself..don't be shy" and then there is a response from either a child or a women.

 

It either says, "No he's not" or "No I'm not." The file has some noise removed and is ampliflied by 10db.

 

 

We were able to capture video of two light anomalies. One is presented here.

These are two screen captures showing the difference between the light anomaly and a flying insect that was also captured on video. The light anomaly is in the lower right.

 

 

 

Although we were able to captured several EVPs and light anomalies, we experienced none of the reported phenomena. This is not to say that the events claimed by the clients didn't happen...only that in the short time we were there, we were unable to validate their claims. Our opinion is that there was not enough evidenced captured to claim that the home is haunted.
