I'm always looking for new equipment to augment our investigations. Infrared light sources are one such piece of equipment that are hard to find and reasonably priced. We have been using the Sony HVL IRM video lights on all of our cameras and they do a good job, but when I found the 12 LED IR Flashlight from Deal Extreme, I had to try them. Besides, they are only $5.65 with free shipping, so how can I go wrong?

Deal Extreme (DealExtreme.com) is in Hong Kong and it can take awhile to receive your order. It took exactly 7 days to arrive at my door in Albuquerque, which I thought was pretty good. I tested the flashlight against the Sony light and was very impressed with the results. I plan on adding the flashlights to each of my Sony lights and using both of them together.
